This song is gorgeous in its own essence, with or without Twilight. I kind of get annoyed with the Twilight comparisons, even though I love Twilight myself, but this song is beautiful on its own. I heart iron & wine.

I think the song is extremely wonderful. Yes its on the Twlight Soundtrack, and I’ve been talking about how I think it was a right fit for the movie - but in no way is that the ONLY reason that I like it. Sam Beam is genius.

This song is about the state of the USA and in particular the innoncence and integrity that America has lost of its yesteryears, and the bitter ‘pill’ it is currrently swallowing. Such a beautiful tune and magical lyrics to a terrible situation.
