How do I calculate the number of wine vs beer drinkers?

I am planning a dinner and dance for about 40 adults. I am estimating that 8 or so will not drink. How do I know how much wine and beer to buy? Even though it is an Italian dinner, I just don’t know how big of a wine drinking crowd it will be.

Estimate that more will not drink like 12 or so. The number of non-drinkers is higher than 8. Get some decent box wine and put on ice and save the remainder for later.

    Make research about how many wine is consumed by people per day and the number of people who drink beer. Divide them with each other
