How to get red wine stains out of furniture?
I spilt red wine ove my new sofas. When I first got them I pre treated them which does look like it helped a lot. but theres still some tint there. HELP!
I have no clue about the fiber content. Its just a basic cloth.
The best way to get red wine out of a new sofas is to rinse with warm water and then blot clean with alcohol. For tough stains, pretreat with a commercial spot remover and then rinse. I hope this was some help. This is a great website for stain removal. http://www.savetimeandmoneyathome.com
If you test this in a non-visible area first, it won't matter what the fiber content is. I do know that if it is in clothes you can soak it with white wine and then rinse with cool water and then launder with an enzyme detergent like era.

After having really bad nightmares about four times,I began to look for the reason. The only thing I had done different was drink red wine and only about two glasses because I really don't like the taste, I was being polite to my host at the time. Is there anyone else out there who has this type of problem?

What is a good red wine and a good fruity wine?
It's almost christmas and I'm looking for some last minute gift ideas for my girlfriends parents. The mother loves fruity wines and the father loves red wine. I need to find two wines, preferably wines that I can find at an LCBO or a winery in the Toronto area. I'm very inept when it comes to wines and all the help that can be provided would be very appreciated.
Thanks
A good choice for sweet wine:
Rieslings have a floral aroma. They range from very dry and crisp to intensely sweet depending on where it is from. German Riesling is slightly sweet and balanced with some acidity. California Riesling tends to be sweeter.
A good choice for red wine:
Zinfandel can be light to full bodied. It can be rich and spicy or lighter and fruitier. Aromas and flavors that are typical include raspberry, jam, black pepper, and licorice. A specific Zin suggestion -
Renwood 2004 Old Vine Zinfandel
The 2004 Old Vine Zinfandel is medium ruby in color. The bouquet consists of brown sugar, caramel, sage, eucalyptus, and bursting with dark berry fruit. The flavor is a sumptuous blend of warm blackberries on the entry, with a hint of dried fruit, finishing with sweet fleshy tannins.(around $20)
If you can't find Renwood other good wineries are Rosenblum, Serghesio, and Ridge.
Good luck!

Red wine is useful for reducing cholesterol ?
If so , how much red wine one should take every day ? Does it have side effects ( Except effects of alcohol ). Some people have disturbed stomach after taking red wine empty stomach.
Modifying the question slightly , I want to know effect of red wine not only on cholesterol but on overall health of heart.
1 glass per day is the recommended amount. It helps to lower cholesterol and increase the hearts ability to pump blood. A chemical in red wine called resveratrol has been shown to have cardioprotective and chemoprotective effects. A study in 2007 found that red and white wines help to protect against fungal infections such as strepptococcus. Also a study has shown that moderate consumption of red wine may reduce the risk of lung cancer in men. Wine is also believed to reduce a persons risk of Alzheimers Disease.

How can I make a fake red wine?
I need to make red wine for a prop. I have to use water and food coloring. I’d like some suggestion regarding the proportions of water and various food colors needed to make a good red wine color.
It will be used as a prop for a play. It will be fairly visible. Small sips will be drank onstage. It is preferred that we not use juice or any other product with sugar. It seems colored water is the only choice. I am just not getting the right shade.
Cranberry Juice looks just like red wine lol
it’ll make a great prop and delicous drink

What is the sweetest red grape wine except for porto?
Usual red wines are quite sour for me.
I am trying to find the best quality red wine that is also sweet.
I'll second chianti as a nice fiarly sweet red wine. Port is NOT a wine. Port is wine fortified with brandy to bring the alcolhol content up high enough to stop fermentation before the fermentation process has consumed the available fermentable sugars.
Plum wine is also usually sweet and wonderful, wonderful enough that I planted some plum trees
Plum wine is usually not carried by liquor stores. The only place I've found plum wine is in asian restraunts
